TEACHING PROGRAM
Agape International School was established on the 5th of September 1995 in Buokrom Asikafoamantem with twenty pupils and two teachers with the purpose of giving quality education to the children in Buokrom and surrounding neighborhoods. The school is managed by the proprietor with the help of PTA Executives. The school has a current enrolment of 345 students. The ages of the students range from 3 to 14 years old.
The program is very flexible so volunteers will get the most out of this experience. The more effort you put in the bigger the impact you will leave!
Volunteers will spend time preparing lesson plans with the guidance of the teachers and our Program Director Florence who herself is a former school teacher. Once comfortable, volunteers can teach classes alone or in pairs following the school's curriculum. Some of the subjects volunteers can teach are Science, Computer Science, English, Maths and Creative arts. Additional projects volunteers can work with at the school to facilitate their experience includes music or drama, sports and physical education and even help in school renovation projects.
