MOLE SAFARI & WATERFALLS TOUR

MOLE SAFARI & WATERFALLS TOUR

Spend Your Weekend Immersed in the Rich Nature of Mole!

We will start our three days, two night trip to the Mole National Park by leaving early in the morning on Friday.

Mole National Park was designed in 1971 as a protective area and is home to many endangered fauna and antelope species. The park is dense with African Elephants and is home to over 93 mammal species. You can hope to see warthogs, many different species of antelope, baboons, monkeys and crocodiles. Although very rare, the park also has had spotting of hyenas, lions and leopards. There are over 300 species of birds who call this park home including storks, egrets, herons, white-headed vultures and martial eagles.

The park is heavily guarded by rangers to prevent poaching. It is approximately a 9 hours drive and we will stop along the way for everyone to use the washroom and stretch out a bit. We will head straight to the Mole Park and have our lunch. We will stay at the Mole Motel which is situated inside the park.

We will do the jeep safari later on around sunset and relax at the poolside in the evening. The next day after our breakfast, we will visit the Mognori Eco Village which is a 30 to 45 minute drive from the park to meet the Mognori women who work in Shea butter production and learn about the processes of extracting Shea butter, have a tour of the community and do the canoe ride. We will head back to Mole Park, have our lunch and relax. In the evening we will have a night-time Safari

After our breakfast on Sunday, we will head to the Kintampo Waterfalls.

Kintampo Waterfalls is one of the highest waterfalls in Eastern Ghana located on the Pumpum River. It was established as a tourism site in 1992. This natural beauty is hidden in a forest rich in mahogany trees and is formed by three main drop sites. The best part about this is you are able to swim at the base of the falls!  It's a great place to relax and feel the freshwater on our journey from the Mole National Park. We will have lunch at a nearby restaurant and drive to Kumasi afterwards.
