The Sunshine Volunteers residence is walled in with electric fencing at the top of the wall. This is typical of all Ghanaian residences and provides an extra layer of security. We will have a security guard monitoring the property at night and ensuring we know who is on and off the property at all times. We do have curfews in place so we can sleep soundly knowing everyone is in the house at an appropriate hour. Volunteers will go through a safety briefing during orientation and lockers are provided at the residence for all valuables and important documents. CCTV is in place both inside and outside the residence to provide an extra layer of security.
